Deep down south in the constellation of Antila you can find this barred spiral-galaxy NGC3175,shining al an apparent magnitude of 11.5mag and a size of 5,2' × 1,3'.
Typed as Hubble-Typ SB(s)ab,its distance from us amounts to about 40mio.light-years.This galaxy is rich in large star-formation-areas.
Together with NGC3113,NGC3125,NGC3137 and ESO 499-037 it is member of the small NGC3175 (LGG 189) Galaxy-Group.
It was first detected by John Herschel in 1835.
