IC5152 Irregular Galaxy in Indus

5.8mio. light-years away from us you can find this irregular (typed IA(s)m)-galaxy named IC5152.Measuring apparently 5′ × 3,2′ with a magnitude of 10.5mag it is not easy to detect even with large telescopes, because of the 7.7mag star HD209142 in its direct foreground.

It is not clear by now,if this galaxy is a very distant member of our local group.

IC5152 was detected by DeLisle Steward in 1899.
