Longmore Tritton 1 PN in Lepus

This quite faint Planetary Nebula shortnamed LoTr-1 and also catalogued as DeHt 1 is located at a distance of 5875 light-years in the southern constellation of Lepus. The nebula of LoTr 1 consists in two slightly elongated shells, with ages of 17,000 and 35,000 years respectively, and with different orientations. O-III as main emission with some fainter Ha emission.
LoTr 1 is one of the first planetary nebulae to be discovered with a binary central star.
The rarely imaged nebula spans about 2 arc-min, a very faint halo extends to about 1 arc-min in extension.
The nice spiral galaxay in the top left corner is mag 15.1 PGC 18099.
