Abell 7 (PK 215-30.1) Planetary Nebula in Lepus

Abell 7 (PK 215 -30.1) is a 13 arc.minutes diameter measuring nearly round Planetary Nebula with very low surface brightness.Only Ha and OIII-lines helped to detect this object as you can it here.

This PN has an age of only 20.000 years with a very old central star aged some 10 billion years.Its real distance is about 1.800 light-years.

The small galaxy to the upper right (north is upside) is labeled as PGC16611.
