NGC6781 is a well known beautiful planetary nebula in the constellation of Aquila. With an apparent diameter of about 120" its brightness is 11.4 mag.
The now 100.000°C hot central star with 0.6 sun masses has the main emissions in the far UV. It was earlier a red giant. You can see it visually with a 6inch or even bigger instrument.
It was discovered in 1788 by William Herschel
