NGC 5566 in the center of this image is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy is the biggest in this constellation, stretching nearly 150,000 light years in diameter
Together with the two galaxies NGC 5560 (warped right) and NGC 5569 (blue left) these are forming a gravitational interacting trio known as Arp 286 situated in a distance between 67 and 79 million light years away from Earth. The galaxy at the lower left border is PGC 51269 at a distance of 487 million light-years.
