NGC1425 Galaxy in Fornax

NGC1425 is a member of the Fornax-galaxy-cluster  and shines with a magnitude of 10,5mag and measures apparently 6.0′ × 2.6′ arc.min.

It is of type SA(rs)b and contains large star formation regions.Its real distance is about 60mio.light-years

NGC1425 was detected by William Herschel in 1790.
