This edged-on-galaxy NGC1032 you can find in the constellation of Cetus as a 3,4' × 1,1'-sized and 11,8mag.bright patch in mid-sized telescopes.
The real distance of this S0/a-typed galaxy is about 120mio.light-years.A small Supernova could be observed there in January 2005 (SN 2005E),probabaly the result of two white dwarfs,rotating around each other.
NGC1032 was first seen by F.William Herschel in 1783.
